Post Ranch Inn

Well, we sure miss our sweeties!  But we are having a great time in Big Sur.  Post Ranch Inn is unlike any place we've ever stayed.  The people are incredibly friendly, but not creepily so.  Everything you can think of is provided for you (a ready-to-light fire in your fireplace each time you return to the room, a backpack with water and snacks for a hike, etc.).  And the rooms are so nice you could never go outside and still feel you've had a vacation.  But Big Sur is out there, so that would be crazy.

Last night we went to dinner at Sierra Mar,  the fancy restaurant that's on the grounds:

And today we drove down the coast and went for a hike:

After that, we swam in the 104 degree infinity pool while condors flew overhead.  Next: dinner at Deetjen's, which is just down the road.  Good thing we have j & o to look forward to, or they wouldn't be able to get us to leave!
