Iron & Wine

What a great show.
It was just Sam Beam, singing and playing the guitar. He's a steel string virtuoso, and his voice is incredibly beautiful. But almost as good, he has a great stage presence, and was really funny. He complained about how he'd only slept three hours last night in LA, and played two shows today in San Francisco (he played the Bluegrass Festival earlier in the day). And he made mistakes, and re-started songs, but never seemed sloppy or unprofessional. He was constantly changing tunings but never changed guitars. It was great.
And the last song (before the one encore) was "The Trapeze Swinger," absolutely my favorite Iron & Wine song.
